Irus Group Presentation at Oracle BIWA Conference in Reston

Irus Group president Vijay Suri will be presenting at the Oracle BIWA (Business Intelligence, Warehousing and Analytics Special Interest Group Conference in Reston on October 3. His presentation is entitled “Strategies for Helping Federal Agencies Optimize Oracle BI Tools and Processes.”

The BIWA SIG is a resource for sharing expertise and vision among members dedicated to mutual success in leveraging Oracle business intelligence, data warehousing, and analytics features, options and products for the shared goal of Better Information – Better Results. Typical BIWA community users include business analysts, database administrators, data analysts, third-party solution providers, as well as developers of Oracle Database-based products. The mission of BIWA SIG shall be to serve as an open forum to foster success in the use and development of Oracle BIWA products. BIWA’s goals include the sharing of best practices and novel and interesting use cases of Oracle BIWA-centric technology.

Information Week article on planned BI spending

Business intelligence is on a lot of companies’ to-do lists this year, with nearly half of the 500 IT professionals recently surveyed by InformationWeek Research planning to increase spending on software for viewing and analyzing business information above 2006 levels. Another 40% say they’ll maintain BI spending at last year’s level.
